Uptown Funk Empire – You’ve Got To Have Freedom (SOS remix)2011.

Originally released in 2009 and sounding quite different, this is one of those tracks that sounds instantly recogniseable. The song was written by Jazz saxophonist Pharoah Sanders waay back and was one of the tracks on the Uptown Funk Empire’s first album ‘The Empire Strikes Back’.

Raul Orellana – The Real Wild House Spitfire Music, Spain/BCM Records UK 1989.

Brief history. He started Djing in Studio 54 Barcelona in 1982 and was there for 12 years, He’s written a Spanish Eurovision entry, worked in record promotion for BMG/Sony, Done A&R, remixed and produced tracks, compiled CDs for Blanco y Negro etc. Number 29 UK, 2 Dance UK SFAIK

Bucketheads – The Bomb (These Things Fall Into My Mind) Henry Street Music US 1994 / Positiva UK 1995

A project of Kenny ‘Dope’ Gonzalez , put together as a backlash against all the Eurodance tracks he was hearing at the time. It was a massive Dance hit, especially in Europe, but only after he had to find $30,000 dollars for the use of Chicago’s ‘Streetplayer’ sample and it was remixed by Armand Van Helden to a manageable eight minutes from the original’s fifteen minutes. Number 5 UK, 13 weeks on chart.
