There are several Charles/Chuck Jacksons. This is the Chuck Jackson, who along with Marvin Yancy, wrote and produced many of Natalie Cole’s big hits including “This Will Be. Though busy with writing and producing Chuck had also a solo career recording 2 albums “Gonna Getcha’ Love” and “Passionate Breeze” under the name Charles Jackson. Ooh Child is from his Passionate Breezes album.

CLASSIC! Recorded at the legendary Sigma Sound Studio in Philadelphia. The session featured members of MFSB including guitarist Norman Harris, drummer Earl Young, bassist Ron Baker, and Vince Montana on vibes. It sold nearly two million copies on its release in spring 1974, reaching number1 on the US R&B charts and #4 on the Hot 100, and number 31 in 74 and 44 in 1980.
