Imagination ~ Changes ~ R & B Records ~ 1982

Released in 1982 on R & B Records 1982 here and on MCA in 1983 in USA, Changes was of course produced and arranged by Tony Swain and Steve Jolley. The song is from the 1982 album In The Heat Of The Night which also featuring “Music And Lights” or “Just An Illusion”.
“Changes” was a number 29 hit here and made 66 Hot 100 and 46 US R&B

Level 42 ~ I Sleep On My Heart ~ Polydor ~ 1985

Track 1 of side 2 of World Machine which was their sixth studio album- the album that really saw them move from jazz funk to funky pop – but what an album – it also includes Something About You, and the fabulous Leaving Me Now.

Stephanie Mills ~ Medicine Song ~ Casablanca /Club ~ 1984

Written and produced by David “Hawk” Wolinski, the keyboard player in Rufus, who also wrote a load of great tunes including Ain’t Nobody and Jeffrey Osborne’s Plane Love. 29 Uk and 65 Hot 100, Hot Soul Singles Chart and 1 Hot Dance Club Play Chart – she played Dorothy in the 1975 Broadway cast of the Wiz and was romantically linked at the time with on Michael Jackson. She was originally in line for the role in the movie but Diana Ross wanted it.
